Times Higher Education film competition
17 July 2012
The Times Higher Education is currently running a film competition as part of the official launch of this year's World University Rankings.
The competition is open to all university staff and students and requires entrants to submit a 10-second video that completes the sentence: "My university is world-class because…"
The short film may focus on any of the qualities in which entrants feel their university excels, for example: teaching, research, access, diversity, sport or social life.
Rob Eagle, ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Commmunication's film-maker, commented: "You can use anything to make a film - just be creative. Use a mobile phone, digital camera, DSLR or Flipcam. As long as you have a creative idea and original content, you don't always need the most sophisticated camera or editing software. You can download free editing software or use something like iMovie on a Mac.
We all know our university is world class. With our film's on ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº's official YouTube channel, we try to shine a spotlight on some of our cutting-edge research, innovative teaching and learning and exciting student experience. Now it's your turn in a 10-second video to show what you think is world class about ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº."
