An intensive preparation for the academic and linguistic challenges of a top UK degree programme, UPC courses enable students whose education systems in their own countries do not offer qualifications suitable for direct admission with the opportunity to go on and study for undergraduate degrees at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº or other top UK universities.

Anne Moore, Marketing Coordinator for ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº CLIE, said: "Each year staff from the centre visit China to interview and select suitable Chinese secondary school candidates for entry to the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº foundation year.Ìý

"UPC courses are a great success; last year 50% of all UPC students graduating from their 3 year undergraduate degree following their foundation year gained a first class mark.Ìý

"The strong academic performance of the high school affiliated to Fudan University in Shanghai, and the international focus it provides for its students means that the agreement signals the start of a promising relationship which will enable students to study for 4 years to achieve ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº degrees."
