Prize awarded to Faculty Dean for research achievements

The Dean of 果冻影院's Faculty of Brain Sciences, Professor Alan Thompson, was awarded a prize by the the Fundaci贸n Esclerosis M煤ltiple Madrid (FEMM - Multiple Sclerosis Foundation听Madrid) earlier this month.
Professor Thompson received the prize in recognition of his contribution to research in the field of听multiple sclerosis (MS).听His main area of expertise is in the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of the progressive forms of MS, focusing on the pathological mechanisms that underpin neurological disability and recovery.听 听He also chairs the Scientific Advisory Committee of the International Progressive Multiple Sclerosis Alliance听which aims to facilitate and enable global research collaboration.
The presentation of the award took place in听Madrid听on Wednesday 2nd November 2016, in a joint event to mark the 20th anniversary of Fundaci贸n Esclerosis M煤ltiple Espa帽a. The award was a sculpture by artist听Alberto Coraz贸n.
