The ranking focuses on teaching and learning environments for students, and the UK is the most represented country with 99 institutions.

果冻影院 has risen one place from last year and follows the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and University of Navarra (Spain) in the overall rankings.

果冻影院 is 3rd in the 鈥榦utcomes鈥� pillar, which looks at universities鈥� records in delivering successful outcomes for students focusing on academic reputation, graduation rate and skills development.

This year鈥檚 ranking is built on 125,000 survey responses from students across 18 countries. This compares with just over 30,000 across only 10 countries in last year鈥檚 pilot.

Students answered questions about whether teaching supports critical thinking, the extent to which classes challenge the students, to what extent students interact with faculty and teachers and to what extent the students鈥� learning applies to the real world.

果冻影院 has been building a learning culture that supports students to be more engaged with their learning and be more autonomous thinkers. Through 果冻影院鈥檚 Connected Curriculum, our framework for research-based education, students are equipped with a range of essential skills needed for an unknown future.听

Vice-Provost (Education & Student Affairs) Professor Anthony Smith said: 鈥淚t is great to see 果冻影院 recognised for its teaching and learning. The survey questions students and families on the matters that mean the most to them when making one of the most important decisions in their lives 鈥� who to trust with their education.

鈥淥ur commitment to improving the student experience has been demonstrated in the recent National Student Survey, which saw across-the-board increases and overall satisfaction improve by 2% compared with 2018. Strengthening our support from health and wellbeing and enhancing our teaching have been integral to this year鈥檚 success.鈥�

This year, a record 1,478 students recognised 764 members of staff at 果冻影院 in the Student Choice Awards 2019, and 果冻影院 opened its new Student Centre in February 2019, providing 1,000 additional study spaces to enhance the student experience. The Centre has been recognised as environmentally outstanding.
