The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Study Abroad team hostedÌýan exciting week ofÌýin-person events for undergraduate studentsÌýinterested in studying abroad in the 2024/25Ìýacademic year. Go Abroad Week took place from Monday 30 October - Friday 3 November.

Monday 30 OctoberÌý

Introduction to Study Abroad at ¹û¶³Ó°ÔºÌý|Ìý1:00pm - 1:50pm

Interested in studying abroad? Join us for an overview of the short-term and longer-term opportunities available to you at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº.

If you are a student eligible to study abroad as part of your degree programme in 24/25, you are encouraged to attend this event to find out what to consider when thinking about where to study abroad and practical considerations in preparation of your placement abroad.

Tuesday 31 October

Funding your Study Abroad experienceÌý| 1:00 - 1:50pm

During this session, we will cover the tuition fee structure for the semester and year-long study abroad programme and sources of funding for both longer and short-term opportunities. This will include information about the Turing scheme and the funding available throughÌýour short-term bursaries

Wednesday 1ÌýNovemberÌý

Study Abroad Student PanelÌý| 1:00pm - 1:50pm

Join us for this panel event, where several ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students who have recently completed their own study abroad placements willÌýshare their experiences, top tips and words of wisdom.

Come prepared with your questions for the panelÌýand gain an insight into the Study Abroad experience from those who have been there and experienced it!

Putting together a successful central Study Abroad applicationÌý| 3:00pm - 3:50pm

In this session, we will cover the central application process for term time exchange, and share top tips on how to successfully secure a study abroad space.ÌýPlease note, this session is relevant only for students who work with the central Study Abroad team to apply for their placement.

Students who liaise with their department for their application are advised not to attend this session. If you are in one of the following departments, you will apply for your placement with your department, who is best placed to advise on your application process:

  • EISPS
  • Greek and Latin
  • Hebrew and Jewish Studies
  • Laws
  • Pharmacy
  • Planning
  • SELCS
  • SSEES
  • Slade
