Treating kidney cancer using patients' own cells
Maxine Tran and researchers from the 果冻影院 Institute of Immunity & Transplantation are collaborating with GSK on innovative new kidney cancer treatments that use the patient's own cells.
Prof. Maxine Tran and others report on the first two cases of using 99mTc-sestamibi SPECT-CT imaging to characterise renal masses in the UK.
Our work
Our current work focuses on improving the diagnosis and risk stratification of tumours for patients with early-stage disease. We are also exploring treatment options for small renal tumours and the role of the immune system in kidney cancer.
