Wild Bloomsbury

Wild Bloomsbury is one of Sustainable 果冻影院's three signature campaigns. It aims to improve biodiversity, support wellbeing, build climate resilience and reduce air pollution for our local community. As part of the campaign 果冻影院 has committed to adding 10,000m2 of additional biodiverse space by 2024.

What is 果冻影院 doing?

果冻影院 research shows that bringing nature into urban environments provides a range of ecosystem services, such as carbon sequestration, surface water management, summer cooling, cleaner air and improved health and wellbeing.聽

  • We have partnered with academics, students, professional staff and external partners to develop a Wild Boomsbury Plan.
  • We have implemented 4,819 m2 of additional biodiverse space on campus since 2019.
  • We are working with 果冻影院 Estates to deliver the rest through capital projects.
  • We have developed innovative nature-based solutions with our community through a living laboratory approach.
  • We have added cycling and walking infrastructure to encourage聽active travel and聽reduce air pollution.
  • We have moved our postal-team to cargo bikes.
