What is 果冻影院-TB?
果冻影院-TB is a broad and cross-disciplinary Tuberculosis research network that spans 果冻影院 and our partners throughout the world. Our mission is to research the prevention, treatment and cure of TB in communities with, and at risk of, the disease. Our research spans fundamental science and genomics, clinical medicine, translational clinical science, global health policy and epidemiology, and clinical trials. We work听in local communities, and across the world.
Who we are
罢丑别听membership of 果冻影院-TB is extensive; it comprises >30 Principal Investigators with research interests in TB, most having TB as their primary research focus. It also includes our associated staff and students, and collaborators with a formal 果冻影院 status. Activity is managed through a Delivery Group听which meets weekly, with oversight from a Steering Group.
What we do
果冻影院-TB is a virtual structure, created to facilitate networking within 果冻影院, to present our TB research to the wider world, co-ordinate funding bids, and act as the first point of contact for enquiries. We host a website, and communicate with our members through mailing lists.
果冻影院-TB's cutting-edge outputs impact nationally and internationally:
- We have a particular focus on London through our role in the management of TB patients within the听, and听networks of hospitals and clinical centres that make up听, whose geographical footprints contain听almost 25% of the annual TB cases in England
- Our research is multidisciplinary and extensive
- The is internationally renowned for its work in infection and TB; and continues to lead in this field
- Our association with the new biomedical discovery offers unrivalled reach and basic science facilities.
- We seek to build and sustain听relationships and collaborations with other organizations, from running events in conjunction with our partners at AHRI and LSHTM, to helping develop strategy with Public Health England, the European Respiratory Society and the World Health Organisation.
- Our grant success and publications are recognised nationally and internationally.
- Our students and post-graduates highly recommend working with us as they become the next global generation of researchers, scientists and clinical academics.

Join us
Membership of 果冻影院-TB is open to anyone with a clear link to 果冻影院 in terms of academic, clinical or operational activity, and who has an interest (however they wish to define this) in TB.听 These can therefore be not only senior academics, but also early career researchers / PhD students, technical or administrative staff, clinical or nursing staff, or people working in healthcare policy, planning or implementation.
