This year the format includedÌýoral presentations from IfWH/¹û¶³Ó°ÔºH Researchers presenting their work, and undergoing a Q&A session. Presentations were judged by our panel, and prizes awarded for the overall best performances.

In addition to this, as like every year, we had our poster presentations and prizes, includingÌýhighlights from our Institute staff of the high profile research that has been undertaken and audit presentations from ¹û¶³Ó°ÔºH clinical staff.

At this meeting weÌýcelebratedÌýhow staff are delivering breakthroughs across women’s health. Digital health innovation is being touted as the next big thing but will artificial intelligence and robiotics really replace human beings in women's health?Ìý Go to our recordings below to listen to the Debate we had on this.Ìý In neonatology weÌýlearnt about innovations that are using light to save babies and their families from preventable harm, how this is being applied in Uganda and how novel surfactant may improve lung function.Ìý In maternal fetal medicine we highlighted how the new genetics is impacting fetal medicine, complications and outcomes of fetal shunt procedures and the potential long-term impact of fetal growth restriction on the maternal heart.ÌýThe Audit and Quality improvement session gave two presentations featuring gestational diabetes and how we can improve outcomes in our busy maternity service.ÌýÌý

Reproductive health topics focusedÌýon healthcare and research priorities for women with polycystic ovary syndrome, minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery, and we wereÌýintroduced to the new NIHR Policy Research Unit in Reproductive Health lead by Jenny Hall and Judith Stephenson.

In women’s cancer we learnt about cervical cancer vaccination, endometrial cancer awareness, novel markers of ovarian cancer and fertility preservation techniques for women of reproductive age with cancer.

Professor Marian Knight, Professor of Maternal & Child Population Health at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, University of Oxford presented our Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Keynote Lecture on 'Inequality in Women's Health'.
