¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Engineering Dean’s Prize

The Dean’s Prize is a scholarship that supports outstanding overseas fee-paying research students by covering the cost of their fees. Full details can be found on the main ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Scholarships site.


China Scholarships Council (CSC)

The CSC provides bursaries to students from China coming to study in the UK. At ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº these are linked to Dean’s Prize awards with the Dean’s Prize paying fees and the CSC paying a stipend. Full details can be found on the main ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Scholarships site.

Students intending to study in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº who wish to apply for a CSC bursary must first have applied successfully for the Engineering Dean’s Prize.


DeepMind Scholarship

UK (Home fee status) and Overseas (International fee status) applicants with an active application may be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must be from an under-represented group within computer science. For more information, check your eligibility, and to apply, please see the .

The value of the scholarship will cover tuition fees in full, and provide a £18,000 maintenance stipend. The stipend will be paid as monthly instalments to the bank account of the successful candidates. Additionally, £2,200 is provided to cover travel to or attendance at relevant academic conferences (either in person or virtually). A further £1,700 is provided as an equipment grant.

The following programmes are eligible to apply:

  • MSc Artificial Intelligence for Biomedicine and Healthcare
  • MSc Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development
  • MSc Computational Statistics and Machine Learning
  • MSc Data Science and Machine Learning
  • MSc Machine Learning
  • MSc Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

Value: Full tuition fees; £18,000 stipend; £2,200 travel/ conference expenses; £1,700 equipment grant.

Please contactÌýcs.pgt-admissions@ucl.ac.uk,Ìýideally within 1 week of receiving an offer to confirm your scholarship application, so ¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s systems can be updated to defer your deposit date before it becomes due. This will postpone your deposit due date until after scholarship decisions have been made, at which point, non-awardees will become liable for the full amount of the deposit.

Snowdon Masters Scholarships

The Snowdon Masters Scholarships is for national and international disabled students applying for a master's programme at any UK institution that starts in 2024.

The scholarship has been designed to identify, accelerate and support talented disabled individuals to achieve their higher education goals.

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº EPSRC DTP StudentshipÌý

The ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº EPSRC DTP is recruiting 70 fully funded studentships for 2024/25,Ìýto undertake fully-funded four-year PhD (including EngD)Ìý in a wide range of subject areas.

PGIM Scholarship Programme – Computer Science MSc Scholarships

Applicants holding an offer, conditional or unconditional, for one of the eligible programmes, who are either Home or Overseas fee status may apply.

Applications will be considered on the basis of household annual income and a demonstration of an interest in entrepreneurship.

The value of the scholarship will cover tuition fees in full, and provide a £18,000 maintenance stipend. The stipend will be paid as monthly instalments to the bank account of the successful candidates.

The following programmes are eligible to apply:

  • MSc Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development
  • MSc Computational Finance
  • MSc Financial Risk Management

¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Friends and Alumni Association (¹û¶³Ó°ÔºFAA) Machine Learning Scholarship

Applicants who have applied for MSc Computational Statistics and Machine Learning, MSc Data Science and Machine Learning, or MSc Machine Learning, and are ordinarily domiciled in the United States of AmericaÌýmay be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Applications will be considered on the basis of excellent academic achievement and financial need.

The value of the scholarship is up to the equivalent of $20,000, and will be paid as either a direct credit against tuition fees, or as monthly instalments to the bank account of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be asked to confirm their preference at the point of acceptance.

  • MSc Computational Statistics and Machine Learning
  • MSc Data Science and Machine Learning
  • MSc Machine Learning

Value: $20,000

Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA)

TheÌýÌýis open to current undergraduate students who will be studying at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East, or Africa for the 2024-2025 academic year. The program is open to students who meet all the minimum qualifications and Google strongly encourage women to apply.
